BALZACが参加しておりますV.A.アルバム『Dr. Demento Covered in Punk』が、2018年1月12日に全世界同時に発売！Dr. Dementoはアメリカのラジオのブロードキャスターで、今回はDr. Dementoのトリビュートアルバムになっており、ノベルティソングをカバーするという内容。参加アーティストはBALZACの他、THE MISFITS、OSAKA POPSTAR、そしてJOAN JETなど様々なアーティストが参加しております。BALZACは「RAT FINK」をカバー。THE MISFITSによるカバーが有名なこの「RAT FINK」ですが、今回は1963年のAllan Shermanによるオリジナルバージョンをもとに、BALZACテイストにアレンジしました。BALZACとしては、これまでにないHAPPYな演奏をお聴きいただけると思います。
ラジオのブロードキャスターDR.DEMENTOのトリビュートアルバムなので、アーティストによるカバーソングとDR.DEMENTOのトークとが交差するトラック構成は、まるでラジオを聴いているかのような流れになっており、CD2枚、LP3枚の約2時間に渡るアメリカのラジオ番組を聴いているかのような非常に面白い収録構成になっております。
